Few non-profits have a true passion for accounting, reporting and capital stewardship, but it is the backbone of any organization. In fact, research shows that accounting is the most in-demand service for outsourcing by small non-profits.

HUMAN RESOURCES

An organization is only as strong as its staff. Unfortunately, staffing is one of the most time-consuming aspects of running a non-profit. Our HR services are provided through a co-employer model, which means all staff become employees of The Mission Center. In this co-employment relationship, your organization retains complete control over employment decisions – recruitment, hiring, supervision, assignment of tasks, dispute resolution, termination, etc. What changes is that clients have the full support of our team’s human resource expertise to facilitate the use of best practices in all aspects of personnel management. INSURANCE

Not surprisingly, small non-profits (with fewer than 100 employees) are not able to negotiate competitive employee benefit packages and rates. The unpredictability of rate increases and the nominal number of employees over whom to spread risk puts tremendous pressure on organizational budgets. At the same time, the need to control costs often forces organizations to reduce benefits which had traditionally been robust to counter-balance the sector’s comparatively low salaries.
